We are thrilled to announce that Angelique Hinton has been appointed as the new Board Chair of the Community Hero Action Group. With over 35 years as a resident of the Norristown area, Angelique has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to community empowerment and civic engagement.
Angelique’s professional journey includes a 20-year tenure in client services at Vanguard, a leading financial investment company based in Malvern. Driven by her passion for community activism, she transitioned into organizing roles, notably serving as a Regional Organizer for “My School Votes,” an initiative under Michelle Obama’s “When We All Vote” organization. In this capacity, she collaborated with students across Pennsylvania to register voters and prepare them for the 2020 presidential election.
Currently, Angelique is the Executive Director of PA Youth Vote, a nonpartisan collaboration of students, educators, and organizations dedicated to elevating student voices and empowering Pennsylvania youth as civic actors. Her leadership has been instrumental in fostering youth engagement in the democratic process.
Beyond her professional roles, Angelique serves on the boards of Expressive Path and Community Hero. She is also the President of the Norristown NAACP, where she continues to advocate for her community.
